4-WEEK POSTSEASON TRANSITION PHASE

OBJECTIVES

  • Restore movement quality after season grind

  • Rebuild thoracic rotation + hip internal/external rotation

  • Improve fascia elasticity and tissue quality

  • Maintain moderate strength qualities without accumulating fatigue

  • Prepare body for summer ball workload

  • Keep equipment minimal and accessible

  • Maintain athletic rhythm, sprint mechanics, and arm health

The transition block below was built off the movement themes, mobility flows, rotational emphasis, scapular work, and dynamic outputs from your in-season spring programming.

HITTER PROGRESSION

WEEK 2

  • Add 1 set to primary strength work

  • Increase sprint volume 10–15%

  • Add rotational med ball variation

WEEK 3

  • Slightly increase loading

  • More explosive intent

  • Reduce total mobility volume slightly

  • Add:

    • Reactive sprint starts

    • Crossover bounds

    • Alternating rotational throws

WEEK 4 = RESTORE / FRESHEN

  • Cut lifting volume 40%

  • Keep speed crisp and low volume

  • Increase recovery work

  • More tissue quality

  • Goal = arrive at summer ball feeling springy, mobile, explosive
