Kevin Konopasek is in his fifth year at Indiana University and was elevated to Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in the summer of 2016.

In this position, Konopasek is responsible for developing programs for women's basketball as well as men's and women's swimming. Previously he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach where he was responsible for developing programs for men's golf and men's swimming, while also assisting with the training of Indiana's 20 other men's and women's Olympic sports programs.

During his time with the Hoosiers, Konopasek’s helped Indiana Women’s Basketball to a WNIT Championship and guided the efforts of seven All-Big Ten honorees and a two-time WBCA All-American honorable mention selection in Tyra Buss. With the IU Swim & Dive team, he has helped program greats including Lilly King, who has earned four NCAA titles. Konopasek’s time has also seen the men’s program win two Big Ten titles and 26 individual men’s Big Ten crowns. On the women’s side, 13 of his athletes have been All-Big Ten performers while also helping his team achieve four NCAA titles – Ian Finnerty (100 and 200 breast), Michael Hixon (1m dive) and the 400 medley relay.

In the summer of 2014, Konopasek completed an internship at EXOS, formerly Athlete's Performance, in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Throughout his internship experience, Konopasek was able to train athletes from the NFL, NBA and U.S. Military Special Forces. He also assisted the Argentinian National Rugby Team train for the World Cup and SOCOM tactical athletes prepare for the Warrior Games.

Konopasek received his master's in kinesiology with a focus in applied sport science from Indiana University in May 2015. Prior to Indiana, Konopasek received his Undergraduate Degree in Movement and Sport Science from Purdue University in May 2013. A native of Griffith, Indiana, Konopasek resides in Bloomington with his wife, Kali.
